Online English-Latin Translator

If Monty Python had access to the Google Translate’s English to Latin section, they would have known the name “Biggus Dickus” isn’t correct (it’s Mentula Magna).

The original version of this blog entry was based on a Java-based translator written by Djun M. Kim, of the Oxford University’s Mathematics Department, and featured a slick, fast, and uncomplicated interface. Alas, that was back in 2007, and while the site is still up and running, Java is now ancient technology.

Anyone who has a love for language will have fun looking up Latin terms, and then discovering the basis for many contemporary words.

Habere bonum diem!
